I had a few moment like this in my life. I definitely recommend it. I've never been more productive than isolated in a mountain with only books, notebooks and pens.
Very interesting maturity model about proper communication in a remote work setup. I think it definitely makes sense and doesn't feel too difficult to evaluate.
Ah I wise MarkNotes or KleverNotes would work like this. I wish we'd have a reusable component in KDE Frameworks too. This is quite some work of course, too bad this isn't FOSS.
Very nice article. We must not loose from sight that actual learning requires some sort of effort. Even better when it's coupled to using your hands (definitely why I still take notes written by hands for some things).
Definitely something I learned way to late. I wish I had started with such summaries and book notes earlier.
The advice is sound. Having more written records of such things definitely help teams. It can have a benefit in other forms (notes or todo's) if you do it just for you.
There's definitely a tension between something which you can organize and search easily (by typing) and something you can remember better (by hand writing). That's why I can't get rid of hand written notes completely, I practice a mix of both depending on the use.
