Interesting use of make to manage your dotfiles. I have a tiny Python script for that, but this looks even more portable.
Nice! At last a Makefile linter. It has some interesting features, I especially like the automated .PHONY target management.
Looks like nice extensions to use GNU Make to run simple tasks.
