It is indeed much easier nowadays to preserve produced content. We have so many open and simple formats to choose from. It's not always been like this.
Looks like there's movement at the Rust Foundation level to have better C++ and Rust interoperability. We'll see what comes to fruition, this could be interesting. It's needed for sure.

That looks like an interesting way to share data between applications. Reminds a bit of the semantic web movement back in early 2000s (talking entities and aggregates), maybe less heavy on the schema side though. I'd need to look at the specification more.
