Tiny intro to using cryptsetup. I confirm it's surprisingly easy.
Worth trying indeed. I'd love to see at least some of that widely adopted.
They really never learn... Whatever the country politician try to blindly fight against cryptography again and again. Let's hope this one is stopped.
Looks like a nice tool indeed. Might be handy.
Very neat piece, shows quite well the problems with Chat Control like laws. It's been postponed this time, but expect it to comeback somehow.
Interesting use of cryptography without a security concern. It's more about safety and ensuring something wasn't missed by mistake.
There are other cryptography schemes out there with interesting properties. Too bad they're not very much used.
The title says it all. This article is a nice introduction to certificates, how they work, how the trust model is setup, etc.
Cool results, let's see what the future brings. This could be exciting.
Timely and needed statement as fights against cryptography are emerging again.
A reminder of what's going on in France... and it's bleak. Lots of things can turn you into a suspect at this point.
You encrypt your communications or data? You try to avoid surveillance from the GAFAM? You use Tor or a VPN?
If anything bad happens around you, then you'll turn into a suspect, this is due to the "clandestine behavior" you entertain... so for sure you are part of some "conspiracy".
This is very worrying.
Signature of digital documents is definitely not as safe as we would like. All the serious formats have known flaws at this point.
This is definitely something to keep in mind and check if you have any LUKS encrypted storage. The key might be less protected than you think.
This looks like an interesting new authorization scheme.
Still a bit young but looks like an interesting and fast tool to decode random data.
Little known but potentially very useful SSH feature.
Nice and very approachable introduction to the use of elliptic curves for cryptography. I think I finally understood properly how those work. :-)
